I really enjoyed this book. It's dark and gritty in places, and depicts mental illness in a realistic way. Kudos to Walters for that. It's refreshing to read an author who doesn't try to tie up a world of problems in a nice, neat bow at the end. It would have done this story a great injustice. It's not to say that I didn't wish that for these two, because they sure deserved it. But, I hope that we get that possibility in the sequel or at least a more positive progression towards it. This book ended a little sad, but also offered some hope for that brighter future. I can't wait for the sequel.
