A very painful read that has no real moments of levity to temper the angst, but it wasn't supposed to. I've read dark fiction for quite awhile. That's the best way I know to classify this one because it's so intense. Haunting, even. While it's certainly worthy of a reread or twenty, I don't know that I could. I think I spent at least half of it with tears in my eyes. It's not an easy read, but it's definitely worthy of your time if you choose to do so.
